Where there's a Will there's a Way

Congratulations have been accorded to the team at Longmores who were one of the top Hertfordshire firms of Solicitors in raising over £2,500 for the last Will Aid Campaign, on behalf of nine Charities including Help the Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children and the British Red Cross.

Longmores has supported Will Aid since it commenced over ten years ago by preparing Wills for a month under which all proceeds are donated to the Will Aid campaign.

Richard Horwood who led the campaign at Longmores said “We are delighted that we have been able to raise so much for the Will Aid Charities – new clients were surprised that Solicitors are involved in such a worth while scheme, so we certainly changed some peoples attitude to the legal profession!”

All in all Will Aid is set to raise nearly three quarters of a million pounds in donations and Gift Aid. Richard commented, “We had every type of Will maker – some who had little funds and others who gave more generously than the suggested donation. We are delighted that we managed to increase the amount we raised during this campaign and are very pleased to be able to support the Will Aid Charities in this way”.

Funds have already been distributed to the participating Charities to be put to work as soon as possible to make a real and immediate difference to the lives of those in need.
